Project Overview & Architecture

Legisimple is an AI-powered platform built to streamline legal research and case preparation for Canadian lawyers. It allows users to upload legal documents and ask case-specific questions, leveraging advanced legal intelligence trained on Canadian law. I built a responsive, user-friendly frontend for document upload and interaction using Next.js and Shadcn UI, integrated OpenAI with Langchain to enable context-aware legal question answering based on uploaded case files, developed backend services with Flask for document parsing, session management, and secure API handling, ensured robust support for DOCX and PDF formats, allowing seamless case file ingestion, and optimized system to accurately interpret and respond to queries involving complex Canadian legal scenarios. The impact was significantly reduced time spent on manual legal research.
